Heeeeeey,

Just an outfit I wore on Sunday to a BBQ in a country park. I didn't intend for any of the pictures to be hazy but the camera was a bit dirty for some reason and I quite like the effect it produced, feels kind of vintage I think ;-)
I really love these shorts which were only £15 in the sale; they're perfect for the beaut weather we've been having recently :-)

Hope you like the look,

So it was prom on friday (12th) and it was such a good day, everyone looked stunning and it was so nice seeing everyone dressed up, although dare I say there were some who went a bit overboard with fake tan haha, and I probably was the palest girl there but ah well. But a lad said to me pale skin is classy & more elegant so who can argue with that? :-)
Anyway, I never really intended to go for a black dress but when I tried this one on and it fitted perfectly, I knew it was the one. Also it was a bargain at only £40! I then decided I wanted to go for a vintage glamour/1920's theme because I am obsessed with that era, plus I didn't want to go for a typical prom look. To accessorise the dress i found this black velvet clutch from STAR by Julien Macdonald and felt it was a bit plain compared to the one I originally wanted which was a great gatsby inspired art deco black and silver diamante box clutch, which unfortuntaley had sold out. So whilst in Debenhams I came across this leopard brooch which was perfect as it instantly said '20s'. I also bought my jewellery from Jon Richard at Debenhams which I felt completed the look really nicely.
For shoes I went with my zara dupes of the staple blogger barely there heels from new look, and had my hair in 20's style waves and pinned into a bun. For makeup I based it on the glamourous 'vintage inspired' party make up tutorial by Lisa Eldridge using the products listed above.

Here are a few of my favourite photos of the night, my friends really are the best people - enjoy!

Hiiiiiiiii,

Finally back to concentrating on my blog because I have finished exams and school, yeaaaaah. Although saying this, this is the only decent post I've managed to do having been free for two weeks or so now; I have taken a few photos of other outfits but none have really been worthy to post, although I might do an outfit 'snipets' post I don't know yet. But I really need to get a tripod because I can't rely on my sister all the time haha. Anyway this is a simple ootd from yesterday, quite dark for a summers day but hey ho. I realise I look like a ghost in these photos I am so pale, sooooo can't wait to go on holiday and maybe even (fingers crossed) get a tan! :-)

Hope you're having a lovely day,

Em x
