Autumn Wishlist
With a new season comes a new wishlist, so here are some items I've been lusting after recently, just click on the title for the link to the item :-)

Every wardrobe needs a white shirt and although I have a hell of a lot of shirts, for some reason I don't own a white cotton one so I need this one in my life asap. A white shirt is such a versatile piece, I'll be layering mine under printed jumpers with black skinnys and chunky boots this autumn.
I seem to be obsessed with basics at the moment and I love easy, million ways to wear tops like this one, probably because early college mornings mean I don't want to think too much about putting an outfit together as I always seem to be in a rush so this is the kind of top I can throw on with a pair of skinnys and simple necklace and be good to go. I'm also attracted to anything marl grey just because it really does go with everything.
I love dogtooth print, and these trousers are gorgeous. They'll look equally as nice worn casually for the daytime as well as dressed up with a leather jacket and heels for the evening. I'm also a jeans or printed skirt sort of girl so I'd like to add more printed trousers into my wardrobe.
As I've said before monki do the prettiest lace bras, they're also great if you've got a small chest  because they're super comfy.
Oh my, how beautiful is this backpack??? Urban always do gorge vintage-esque bags and I'm seriously in love with this one. Aside from canvas tote bags, backpacks are my favourite just because I think when worn slouchy on one shoulder they instantly add a kind of cool to any outfit.
I've been looking for the perfect deep pink lipstick and after swatching this one in topshop I think I've found the perfect one. I also love the velvet finish - not quite matte but still nice and moisturising.

Like anything in my wishlist? What will you be wearing this autumn?

OOTN feat Sunset over St Ives

Hat - H&M/ Top - Miss Selfridge/ Shorts - Shop in St Ives/ Cardigan - H&M/ Bag & Shoes - Primark

Heyyyy lovelies,

This is just one of the outfits I wore one night whilst we were in Cornwall. Me and my sister decided to try and take the photos while the sun set and it looked pretty beautiful as it disappeared behind St Ives bay.
If you've read my blog before you'll know I wear black 90% of the time, and summer outfits are no exception. I really love these shorts I bought from a shop in St Ives last year and I've been practically living in them all summer because they're SO comfy and easy to wear. I also love my chunky sandals and bag I bought fairly recently from Primark, I love all chunky heeled shoes and as a short gal I need as much height as I can get! haha
I also had to include my sisters outfit because it is soooo cute.

Hope you like the look,

Wandering around St. Ives

St Ives has to be my all time favourite English seaside town, it really is a beautiful place - everywhere you look is picture perfect, and although I've already posted photos of it last year (see post), I couldn't resist taking a few more this time around.
It started out a gorgeous day but even when it began to rain it didn't dampen the spirits of the band playing in the street who everyone stopped to watch and I really wish I knew what they were called because they were so good, aw maaan :-(

Visiting Cute Seals & Monochrome OOTD

On the second day in Cornwall we decided to go to this little seal sanctury in Gweek which rescues seals and looks after them until they can hopefully be released back into the wild. There were also two very cheeky otters there - suitably called Starsky and Hutch and were definitely characters haha

For my outfit I went for comfy, casual and my favourite -monochrome. I bought this dress a while ago from H&M for £5 or something and it is ridiculously comfy - and you can't go wrong with a basic stripey dress. I added my bowler hat and trusty vintage sunnies just because I love how they look together and to be honest these sunglasses are the only ones I wear because none others seem to suit my face shape at all - is anyone else like that?? Maybe I just have a weird face :-(

Wedding No. 2 OOTD

Hello lovelies!

This post is a bit delayed but this is the outfit I wore to my uncle's wedding at the weekend, a simple aqua swing dress with the same shoes and accessories that I wore with my lilac dress at my cousin sophie's wedding (see post). Not wanting to wear the lilac dress again and due to a cat in the wardrobe incident I had to find a last minute dress and came across this gorgeous swing dress from Missguided, which was only £9.99 in the sale- bargainous.
I also thought the colour made a nice change since I have never worn a dress as bright (monochrome forever hahaha) and for a tenner you can't really go wrong as far as wedding outfits go. I also liked the 60s feel of the dress, and swing dresses are pretty flattering as they skim over everything - a life saver if you accidentally have a bit too much of the cake ;-)

Me, my mum and sister all unintentionally co-ordinated with shades of blue, setting a trend maybe?? haha

Ah I do love a good wedding, hope you liked the look! :-)

Collar to Cuff Project - Sketchbook Work

Hello,

Long time no blog! Here is the majority of work from my sketchbook which includes the research and design process of creating 15 shirts, inspired by a theme for our final first year project. I chose 'oriental' as my theme, so I looked into Chinese and Japanese culture - taking influence from lanterns, Geisha, fans and traditional paintings. As the shirts could only be black and white, I wanted to make sure that all aspects of my shirts related back to my theme, so I also researched into types of collars and sleeves, and typically used mandarin collars and kimono sleeves.  Instead of having the shirts on figures which were straight up and down like in my last project, I came up with three poses inspired by traditional geisha dance, and looked at two illustrators Baiba Ladiga and J.Larkowsky, to help me illustrate my final boards. There are also pages on my designs for marketing, where we had to research and design a promotional bag for our final shirt.

Sorry for the bad quality of these pictures but I took these at like 1am on the day of my deadline when I remembered I needed to blog about it - forever last minute haha.

What do you think? Please comment :-)
